You can choose between several types of room: a shared room, a room with 2 beds and a private room.
Whatever your choice, you will be billed a personal contribution. You may be charged a supplement if you choose a specific room.
However, this will not be the case if you stay in a private room:
- when there is no shared or twin room available and this was your request.
- when admission takes place in an intensive care or an emergency unit, irrespective of your wishes.
- when the admission concerns a child accompanied by a parent during their hospital stay (unless there is a written request from a parent in the admission report).
The choice of a private room will also have an impact on the amount of additional fees that may be invoiced to you.
